Coach Johnson-Lynch has her team run through a variety of her and their favorite drills.  She demonstrates 10 highly competitive drills that can be adjusted to focus on particular skills and be modified for your team’s particular skill level.  Coach Johnson-Lynch explains the focus of each drill she presents along with options to allow your players to focus on goals appropriate for your team. Make Sure You Have a Goal for Your Drill

Coach Johnson-Lynch consistently shares what goal she has made the focus in each of her drills because effective drills develop better volleyball players.  She also suggests some alternative goals that you could use to tailor a drill to meet the needs of your specific players and team.  Coach Johnson-Lynch shows how to remind players of the purpose of the drill to help keep them focusing on the goals.

Use Scoring Adjustments to Change the Focus

Coach Johnson-Lynch shares some thoughts on how to tweak the scoring of a drill to help your players to run the drill with a new emphasis.  She gives some tips on rewarding the result you want with bonus scoring points to change the primary goal of a drill the players already like.  Coach Johnson-Lynch shows how the competitive nature of your players will use the adjusted scoring to automatically refocus on a different skill than the last time they ran the drill and inject new life into an old drill.
